Welcome to the iCademy
Video and Photography Program!
Grab
a camera and tell us a story about Arizona.
The iCademy Program offers a unique project-based learning experience
for arizona students and teachers. The
goal of the program is to encourage diverse groups of students to enter
into a statewide multimedia dialogue about Arizona. Working individually
(photographic essay) or in teams of two to five (Digital Story), students
in third grade through high school have the opportunity to capture
the stories of Arizona.
Winning teams receive prizes and an invitation to participate in
the Microcomputers in Education Conference, held in March 2010 at
Arizona State University.
2009 - 2010 Theme

The history of Arizona is as wide and diverse
as the landscape. From the five C's to the many cultures of our
state - there are a wealth of stories just waiting to be told. Looking towards the Centennial Celebration in 2012 we are striving to capture the rich stories of those who have made Arizona great.
The keepers of these stories are the grandparents
and elders in our diverse communities who witnessed and participated
in the transformation of Arizona during the twentieth century. This
year the iCademy Video and Photography Program seeks to create a
quilt of personal Arizona stories that provide a unique personal
perspective on Arizona history.
